To strengthen our Rheumatology Mission , based in our global team in Brussels, Belgium, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of:  Strategy Lead Innovation & SLE (Systemic Lupus Erythematosus)  located in EU or US (East coast) .


As a  Strategy Lead Innovation & SLE you will lead the development and alignment of an insight focused, differentiating and forward-thinking strategic vision for the SLE and Innovation Team by providing global launch- and brand plans with impactful patient value solutions for implementation. Internal and external communication strategies that bring awareness of the potential market changing deliverables from the Innovation and SLE teams will be core of it.

  • Work closely with UCB partner account leadership and external decision makers to incorporate specific needs into global brand / launch plans
  • Work in conjunction with colleagues within medical, access strategy and others to develop omnichannel-, launch- and awareness campaigns and communicate the focused messaging accordingly
  • Contribute to the creation of a common culture within the team that supports the UCB vision, mission and values and measure performance to establish a sustainable competitive advantage;
  • Work with a broad range of stakeholders, from the scientific community to Payers, to the Patients;
  • Apply leadership and management skills to work with internal and external stakeholders to meet market needs in driving towards better care for patients. 

 

You will contribute by: 

 

  • Developing and implementing asset and segment specific commercial strategies for furthering UCB’s disease state objectives with respect to enhancing patient value in SLE (early launch preparation) and , launch readiness plans and materials for Innovation & Solutions (e.g. digital medicine (ava® Connect & CimplyMe)
  •  Leading cross-functional development of the global Patient Value Brand Plan (PVBP) in SLE and implementation of non-drug solutions into global PVBPs in line with regional insights, requirements and drivers
  • Ensuring implementation follow up for the key global commercial strategies and provide facilitation support for key milestones (e.g: launch in specific geographies). Build, monitor and track value and impact of implementation and KPIs of the global solutions
  • Lead development and execution of both internal and external communication strategies that bring awareness the potential market changing deliverables from the Innovation and SLE teams
  • Demonstrating personal leadership to help embed UCB operating model and provide leadership to a global cross-functional team
  • Partnering and co-creating with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Ensuring the highest ethical, scientific standards of the solutions deployed 
  • Align high but achievable performance targets (KPI) for global success by analyzing data including business statistics and customer feedback

 

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills: 

 

  • 10 year’s+ experience in the pharmaceutical / health care industry, including communication platform and go to market/launch experience. Experience in commercialization of medical devices is a plus
  • 6 years+ experience in marketing including Omnichannel, communication and around the drug solutions, demonstrating US/EU regional or global marketing assignments
  • Significant experience in developing/leading strategic a/o operational cross functional teams 
  • Proven leadership abilities in launching new products and driving efficiency in complex healthcare systems
  • Fluent in English verbal and written communication  
  • Bachelor´s degree in business, science or engineering. Master´s degree preferred. 
  • Therapeutic area experience in immunology, biologics a/o medical devices is a plus 
  • You are a proactive & solution oriented teamplayer, open for feedback and change with the ability to learn, constructively challenge and engage. An active listener, focused and analytical with the attention to results. You sense cultural awareness and you are flexible in your working attitude.
