Rebate Analyst

To strengthen our Contracts and Pricing team, based in Atlanta, GA, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of Rebate Analyst.


As a Rebate Analyst, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of Commercial, Trade and Medicare Part D rebates in compliance with contract terms. The Rebate Analyst will also analyze and if necessary measure customer market share performance to calculate rebate payment and manage the timeline for payment to optimize UCB cash flow commitments and maintain data integrity of master rebate data that supports the advance analytics performed by the business analysis team.


You like to work in an environment where you can:

  • Perform complex rebate calculations that require adherence to rules and understanding of contractual rebate requirements, using custom Revenue Management (RM) applications (Revitas, Model N, etc), advanced Excel formulas, MS Access, and SAP programs.
  • Manage the maintenance of master rebate data compliance with data integrity standards and provide extracts when requested.
  • Ensure detailed accuracy, the correct input into company systems (RM and system of record) and master data for rebates and contract data.
  • Methodically examine of calculations to validate contract terms and conditions (T&C) that will flow through to the UCB Government Pricing ream for GP submissions.


You will contribute by:

  • Building robust data models for integrations into UCB data warehouse for integrations.
  • Maintaining service standards in processing data submitted by customers and proactively advising management of issues. 
  • Keeping auditable rebate records and supplies information on request to contract customers and internal groups.
  • Formulating status reports and synchronizes numerical information in spreadsheets. 
  • Preparing, routes, and request checks or credit requests for customers based on own calculations and system use, tracks approvals, and maintain archival records.
  • Analysing reporting and presentation of work products to internal and external customers.
  • Building partnerships and alliances with counterparts (analyst) at payers for increased collaborations and insights to customer.
  • Performing complex rebate calculations requiring adherence to rules and understanding of contractual rebate requirements, using custom Revenue Management (RM) applications (Revitas, Model N, etc). advanced Excel formulas, MS Access, and SAP programs.


Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience. Undergraduate degree in relevant field or equivalent experience required in marketing or finance.
  • Ability to read and understand detailed contract language.
  • Experience and understanding of commercial contracts in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Business Law acumen (contract T&C review)
  • Formulary look-up tools.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP experience helpful.
  • Revenue Management Software preferred.
  • Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, Access
