The Head, Immunology Ecosystem Partnership Leads (East) will strategically oversee the immunology Ecosystem Partnership Lead (iEPL) Team and impact in each micro-ecosystem - providing leadership, coaching, and accountability to driving individual and team results. The iEPL Team is accountable to delivering and differentiating the immunology value proposition to: CSuite Executive Population stakeholders, key immunology population health influencers, as well as internal Regional Payer and IDN immunology formulary influencers, stakeholders, and decision makers – in coordination with their Access Accelerator Leads (AAL). The Head iEPLs is accountable to lead iEPLs to connect key micro ecosystem/population health immunology influencers to key Regional Payer & IDN internal immunology stakeholders and influencers e.g. medical directors, clinical decision makers, population health stakeholders, quality teams, value based care teams, etc.  The Head, iEPLs will lead, inspire, and model cooperative teamwork behaviors that enables iEPL accountability to role of shared responsibility with Squad partners (AAL) for co-developing, integrating, and coordinating, regional payer strategies to be executed in concert with iPVU team members of the local immunology micro-ecosystem.  The Head, iEPLs will provide strategic leadership and coaching that appropriately engages and integrates multi-disciplinary iPVU resources and expertise - to develop and expand productive relationships with key immunology micro-ecosystem Executive Population Health Stakeholders and key Immunology Regional Payer & IDN accounts – jointly establishing, and coordinating with Director of Access Accelerator Leads (DAAL), broad, deep, and diverse immunology advocates supporting affordable access that maximizes value creation for patients across the US Healthcare Micro-ecosystems.

 

The Head, iEPLs will partner with the Market Access Pricing (MAP) Director of Access Accelerator Leads (DAAL) to jointly ensure access and affordability of UCB iPVU products with local payer accounts and IDNs across immunology micro-ecosystems – delivering on our Patient Value Strategy. The Head, iEPLs will establish strong accountability of the iEPL Team to establishing connectivity of key micro-ecosystem immunology stakeholders and advocates with their immunology contemporaries and formulary influencers/decision makers internal to regional payers and IDNs.  The job responsibility and accountability of The Head, iEPLs is inclusive of the following:  
 

  • Coach and develop deep iEPL strategic understanding of diverse immunology micro-ecosystems, interconnectivity of large immunology customers and local payer/IDN contemporary business models.
  • Coach and develop deep iEPL strategic understanding of the influence and impact of health economics, marketing strategies, medical and pharmacy reimbursement, population health, and value based care delivery models etc. and how each impact immunology customers and patient care
  • Coach and model high impact iEPL delivery and differentiation of immunology value proposition to immunology C-Suite Executive Population Stakeholders, and immunology formulary decision  influencers within local and regional payers/IDNs – modeling accountability to coordination with DAAL partners
  • Contribute to iEPL strategy and resource development with internal Ecosystem Marketing to support content development of innovative immunology EPL value proposition for all targeted customer segments i.e. Immunology C-Suite Population Stakeholders, Regional Payer/IDN internal immunology formulary decision influencers
  • Coach and lead development of strategic partnering relationships with key immunology executive population stakeholders (C-Suite) to influence and maximize patient access to UCB iPVU products with local and regional payers/IDNs 
  • Lead strategic alignments and partnerships with immunology Ecosystem Health Economic/RWE/Population Health partners to advance and deliver on iPVU patient value strategies with key immunology population health stakeholders and key immunology formulary influencers internal to Regional payers/IDNs (coordinated with AAL partners).
  • Model and lead the iEPLs strategic mapping and connectivity of iPVU micro-ecosystem executive stakeholders, and key immunology influencers, with their regional payer/IDN contemporaries who have influence over immunology formulary and or medical policy decisions – via a highly coordinated strategic plan co-developed with AAL partners
  • Partner and lead in concert with Sales Leadership, DAALs, and other partners to create strong internal and external working relationships that Co-develop, define, and coordinate local strategic imperatives focused on maximizing UCB iPVU Product access, affordability, and pull-through within the immunology micro-ecosystems 
  • Model and lead strong collaborative partnerships with MAP and iPVU leadership teams that enables strong shared accountability to teamwork and contributions to the achievement of shared objectives
  • Operates at the highest level of UCB compliance and professional standards.  Compliance is a part of how we operate within UCB.  Adherence to compliant behavior is an expectation at UCB and demonstrated by embracing ethical decision-making practices and guidelines in all aspects of our organization.

 

Requirements:

  • Candidate can be based anywhere on the east coast
  • Bachelor's Degree    
  • 5-8 years of healthcare related experience; sales, sales leadership, market access, marketing, or field medical experience
  • 5 years prior leadership experience preferred
  • 2+ years in key account management
  • Demonstrated experience and documented success leading multidisciplinary and/or matrixed teams
  • Bachelors’ degree in life sciences, business or healthcare preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with pharmacy benefit, medical benefit, and formulary processes
  • Demonstrated line leadership skills in managing, developing, and influencing teams
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communications
  • Demonstrated strength in strategic business planning, tactical plan development and execution
