Healthcare Professional Partner – Immunology

To strengthen our Spanish Immunology Team, we are looking to fill the position of Healthcare Professional Partner (HCPP)

 

About the role

Amplifies and strengthens the matching of UCB therapeutic options with appropriate patients in assigned territory employing strong collaborative relationships and targeted approach to key HCPs as well as implementation of optimal omni-channel solutions

 

Your responsibilities

Key Activities:

  • Acts as SPOContact for HCPs by applying deep knowledge of UCB solutions and connecting the right resource at the right time
  • Tailors omni-channel tools to impact HCPs based on individual preferences
  • Defines and executes an impactful tactical plan within territory of responsibility

Key Deliverables:

  • Be an efficient single point of contact (SPOC) to independent HCPs supporting them to provide optimal care
  • As part of a multidisciplinary team coordinate stakeholder management in a community based environment through two-way interactions with HCPs helping them to provide optimal care
  • Establishes strong business relationships with HCPs within assigned territory
  • Matching of UCB therapeutic options via a deeper understanding of targeted HCPs patient population by deploying a tailored approach (communication and tools) and solutions

Medical, scientific and therapeutic area expertise

  • Identifies and analyzes medical, scientific and therapeutic area opportunities and problems, and make proposals for appropriate improvements. 
  • Acts as a subject area expert and creates awareness of patient journeys, unmet needs and therapeutic area-related topics.
  • Actively contributes to and takes responsibility for patient solution development and implementation.

Health Ecosystem awareness and shaping

  • Monitors changes and trends in health ecosystems, policy and legislation using a broad range of sources, and approaches and considers how these impact the business.
  • Maintains a holistic insight into the dynamics of the patient, payer and provider community and the key points of influence.
  • Specifies and prioritises potential impact of the changes to the health ecosystem and develops actionable plans and solutions.

Business and financial acumen

  • Understands the implications of new issues and trends on the stakeholder’s business, leading to a deeper understanding of the stakeholder’s business and strategy.
  • Has a deeper understanding of relevant metrics important to the stakeholder.
  • Considers the impact on and alignment with the organization when setting goals, making decisions and organizing activities and uses knowledge of drug life cycle to inform decision-making.

Strategic Planning

  • Contributes to the creation and maintenance of partnerships and novel ways of interacting with stakeholders.
  • Identifies networking opportunities to enhance the value offering to patients.
  • Understands the internal organization and communicates effectively across the internal matrix, and strives to understand alternative perspectives.   

Patient Value Engagement

  • Understands the need for patient insights in engagement with regards to the patient journey including unmet needs, preferences, and behaviors.
  • Establishes a teaching position to deliver patient value perspectives beyond basic information on industry and therapeutic trends, or the stakeholder’s own business.
  • Uses standard language and information that is less specific to the stakeholder’s business, practice, or role.
  • Understands the need to align with the stakeholder's readiness to proceed, but may leave conversations open-ended without clarity on next steps.
  • Represents the patient unmet needs during stakeholder engagements.

Gathering & Interpreting Information

  • Understands common approaches to evidence generation, and contributes to the synthesis and interpretation of data.
  • Works with stakeholders to support evidence generation aligned to the value strategy in own disease/product area, and extracts and communicates key findings.
  • Comprehends the opportunities to generate clinical, humanistic, and economic argumentation that defines and quantifies unmet medical and socio-economic need.

Delivering impactful results

  • Estimates value or probability and degree of growth potential.
  • Manages available resources and processes needed to secure them and considers patient value when making resource decisions.
  • Generally reviews plan outcomes and update plans accordingly.

  • Coordinates and synthesizes thinking around innovative solutions.
  • Identifies and assesses risk and incorporates appropriate risk mitigation activities into strategies and actions
  • Challenges and investigates new approaches to measure long-term value.

Working together

  • Creates patient-centric account plans that also specifies the impact on stakeholder’s objectives (i.e. therapeutic outcomes, professional priorities, etc.).
  • Actively prepares account strategies based on stakeholder segmentation and specific stakeholder needs or objectives.
  • Manage regular and ongoing access to all stakeholders being part of the decision making process.
