To strengthen our IT department, based in Monheim, Germany, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of: Clinical Data Intelligence Analyst.


You like to work in an environment where you can: 

  • Create efficiencies by automating processes related to clinical data, connecting disparate data sources to allow insights
  • Create tools to allow prescriptive analytics supporting GCSO, to perform clinical studies with a better oversight of study activities, 
  • with a clearer view on potential relevant issues, allowing to focus resources on the areas of greatest need during study conduct.


You will contribute by: 

  • Create small scale solutions allowing automation of GCSO processes to reduce manual workload for repeating data manipulation activities (eg. Python or R)
  • Analysis of operational data including scripts/tools for the purposes of organizational performance tracking and continous improvement 
  • Create algorithms around AI, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing to support the end-to-end automation from study concept to study report
  • Automated creation of system specifications based on digitized study protocol information 
  • Pre-population of Study Concept, Study Protocol, Statistical Analysis Plan, Clinical Study Report and Functional Plans from a content management system
  • Perform prescriptive analytics including protocol design, assessment and outcome using internal and external data
  • Create data visualizations and analyses for activities like Data Surveillance, Study Management & Oversight, Complexity Assessment, Risk Trend Detection and historic data analyses
  • Interconnect with IT and similar roles in other departments to share ideas and concepts at transversal level and to find areas of potential interactions creating value
  • Participate in workstreams/taskforces to define the usage of automation to achieve efficiencies and synergies in system support, eliminating redundancies and streamlining activities  
  • Support implementation of developed solutions by providing training, mentoring, and guidance to team members as needed


Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in the field of IT
  • 2+ years experience in data analysis, programming or automation in life sciences setting 
  • Proficiency in programming in systems like, but not limited to, Python, R, SAS
  • Proficiency in creation of data visualizations in systems like, but not limited to, QlikSense, Spotfire
  • Strong computer proficiency, especially in use and management of databases and in generating reports
  • Understanding of the clinical development process preferred
  • Ability to work cross-culturally and provide guidance to teams located worldwide
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience participating in collaborative work teams at local and global levels
  • Experience in managing multiple tasks concurrently
  • Self-motivated
  • Proficiency in English
