To strengthen our Medical Information Team, based in our affiliate in Monheim, Germany, we are looking to fill the position of: Medical Manager (fixed-term employment contract), Medical Information, Germany.

As a UCB 'carentific' person and Medical Manager, Medical Information, Germany you like to work in an environment where you can:

  • Play a key role as a provider of timely, accurate, fair and balanced scientific / medical information to patients, healthcare stakeholders and UCB colleagues for UCB’s product portfolio
  • Actively contribute to patients’ wellbeing by being part of our UCBCares® team the central point of contact for all enquiries on UCB products and individual solutions, managed by a team of knowledgeable and experienced professionals

 

As a UCB 'carentific' person and Medical Manager, Medical Information, Germany you will contribute by:

  • Being the point of contact for patients, physicians, pharmacists and other external stakeholders for medical inquiries on the UCB product portfolio across all therapeutic areas (marketed and investigational) and preparing medical content documents customized to stakeholder’s needs
  • Developing and maintaining professional expertise and knowledge with regards to UCB’s products and respective external and internal framework by fostering a strong collaboration with all therapeutic areas and building networks with relevant colleagues
  • Responding to medical / scientific inquiries in a timely manner utilizing approved materials (e.g. Prescribing Information, FAQs, Standard Response Letters)
  • Documenting incoming reports of adverse events and/or product complaints as well as non-medical information requests and triaging the information as appropriate
  • Acting as liaison between the different internal and external stakeholders and UCBCares® by collecting information and sharing observations, insights and best practices
  • Providing medical enquiry support and training to field force
  • Participating in preparation, review and maintenance of all medical information Standard Response Documents and Frequently Asked Questions by being part of the Global Medical Content Network
  • Effectively collaborating within multidisciplinary teams and environments within Central Europe and beyond such as Medical Affairs, all Therapeutic Areas, Drug Safety, Quality Assurance and Corporate Communications

 

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

  • University degree, preferred in Natural Sciences
  • Professional experience of minimum 2 years in a pharmaceutical company in Medical Affairs, Drug Safety or Clinical Research
  • High level competence in German & English language
  • Good knowledge of the indications of the company portfolio (e.g. Immunology, Osteoporosis) and the legal framework of pharmaceutical industry
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills and an effective team player who can engender credibility and confidence within a matrix organization
  • Solution-driven and creative 'out of the box' thinker
  • Can-do attitude, hands-on problem solving skills and able to keep composure in a dynamic and changing environment
  • Ability to prioritize diverse projects and activities
  • Detail-oriented as well as people and process driven
