To strengthen our Patient Services Team, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of: Head of Patient Strategy & Solutions.

 

As the Head of Patient Strategy & Solutions you will lead the strategic design, implementation, and operations of all Direct-to-Patient initiatives as related to the US Immunology product portfolio.  You will be responsible for building and managing a best-in-class integrated patient experience and patient support HUB services platform encompassing the full portfolio of US Immunology brands in both specialty pharmacy and buy & bill. Solutions will provide fully integrated analytics critical to product access and enduring services for patients and stakeholders. You will lead a field team focused on pharmacy access pull-through in support of US Immunology sales teams. Finally, you will be responsible for the efficient management and application of a sizeable operational expense budget to deliver the utmost patient value.

  • Lead the development and implementation of all patient marketing functions across the portfolio of US immunology brands
  • Creating and championing patient marketing strategies and successful tactics in collaboration with Dermatology, Rheumatology, and Gastroenterology CORE teams to deliver patient impact.
  • Lead the development and implementation of portfolio patient services.
  • Lead the design, implementation and ongoing management of all patient reimbursement HUB services programs. Develop project timelines for new and enhanced HUB services and manage through to completion.
  • Lead the design, implementation and ongoing management of all Nursing services programs. Develop project timelines for new and enhanced Nursing services and manage through to completion.
  • Provide guidance and support to existing buy and bill patient reimbursement access program with a focus on operational excellence in support of patient and brand objectives and UCB business requirements.


You will contribute by:

  • Serving as the US Immunology lead for patient technology & device collaborations with responsible Global teams.
  • Ensuring all external partners performance is measured against contractual arrangements and to budget.
  • Developing performance dashboards and interpret patient marketing impact, HUB / specialty pharmacy conversion, success & impact of affordability and patient engagement programs, and KPI’s demonstrating patient value of field access pull-through teams.
  • Developing and maintain SOPs and business rules related to all UCB US Immunology patient support.
  • Providing strategic insights into Marketing to develop compliant content for UCB’s US Immunology reimbursement support website. Drive material through marketing review process as required.
  • Partnering with Patient Advocacy initiatives and external support organizations to gather and incorporate insights into patient support strategy for existing and new products.
  • Demonstrating fiscal discipline and accountability to effectively and efficiently manage external partners and vendors performance through appropriate metrics.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of leadership experience within the biotech/specialty pharmaceutical/pharmaceutical industry.
  • 3+ years of experience building and leading successful patient marketing strategies inclusive of DTC initiatives.
  • 3+ years of proven experience working with/in Patient Access call center HUB operations


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree
  • Field leadership experience highly desirable.
  • Direct experience with specialty injectable &/or infused buy-and-bill products.
  • In depth knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturer compliance requirements, patient confidentiality (HIPAA regulations), product reimbursement and product access.
  • Knowledge and experience in Medicare Parts A-D, Medicaid, and private payer policies, reimbursement process, health policy, areas of coverage, payment, coding, Specialty Pharmacy, and buy and bill.
  • Experience with Commercial Brand Planning process, able to translate brand disease state and business drivers into patient support programs and operational requirements.
  • “Patient First” customer service orientation. Puts the Patient at the center of all business activities.
  • Excellent analytical (qualitative and quantitative), strategic thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills.
  • Track record of successfully managing and leading vendor relationships from both a strategic and operational perspective and achieving results.
