Project Manager/Senior Project Manager, IT Early Solutions

 

Job Description

 

The IT Early Solutions Transformation Delivery team is playing a crucial role in enabling the full potential of technology for the research organization, thereby increasing the success rate of bringing novel patient solutions to patients. As IT Early Solutions project manager, based in UK (Slough), you will identify and drive innovative technology projects that purposefully add value.

We are looking for a unique, driven and innovative individual who connects people, information and technology to boost our fast-moving research environment.

 

Your main responsibilities

As the IT Early Solutions project manager, you will:

  • Orchestrate and project manage the efficient deployment of transformative information technology initiatives which have a major positive impact on the research organization across the research sites in Belgium (Braine), UK (Slough) and US (Boston).
  • Strongly engage with researchers and the broader IT organization to enable the full value technology use of the latest software ranging from industry leading scientific software, over exotic academic software, to highly complex open source solutions.
  • Actively manage the lifecycle and the value delivery of specialized scientific technologies
  • Contribute in the definition of the future technology roadmap by identifying value adding technology opportunities

  • You have a MSc or PhD in life sciences with IT experience or a MSc or PhD in engineering or computer science with experience in a research environment.
  • You have a good understanding of the biopharmaceutical drug discovery/research evolving data driven ecosystem.
  • You are passionate about technology leading to  a solid knowledge of current and emerging technology trends
  • You have a demonstrated successful experience in project management of complex global technology implementations.
  • You can easily adapt in fast paced complex environment thanks to your can-do attitude and your ability to connect with people.
  • You are result oriented with a focus on value delivery
  • You are an excellent change agent and you enjoy influencing people thanks to your impactful communication skills (storytelling, negotiation, …)
  • You are Fluent in English
