Real World Evidence Data Analyst

The RWE Data Analyst supports the analysis of Real World Evidence internal database studies for current or future UCB compounds. 

 

As RWE Data Analyst, incumbent will work with RWE Scientists and serve as an expert for Real World Evidence Data Analytics activities. Incumbent will serve as a Programmer Analyst, technical resource, internal consultant, and mentor to the staff within RWE Data Analytics. The role will include input into protocol design and expertise in programming and analysis methodology for RWE studies. Additionally; the role will include the leadership/support/development/improvement of standards and procedures within the RWE Data Analytics team.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities of the Position:

 

  • Leads and supports Data Analysis and statistical programming study related activities within the Real World Evidence Practice.
  • Provides input on and review of study design, analysis plans and other study related documents.
  • Develops, validates, maintains, and documents analysis programs and other study documents.
  • Provides input on interpretation of results and reviews publications
  • Provides technical database expertise to stakeholders
  • Supports development and rollout of new standards and processes in RWE Data Analytics.
  • Enforces RWE Data Analytics SOPs and working practices.
  • Act as an RWE representative when required.
  • Potential to support the Head of RWE Data Analytics to provide direction, motivation and oversight of RWE Data Analytics and study related statistical programming resources
  • Such other responsibilities and projects that the Company may assign.  

 

 

 

Education and Experience:

 

  • 5+ (with a Master’s degree) to 7+ (Bachelor’s degree) years’ experience with a proven successful track record of analysis of Real World Data in partnership with Epidemiologists and Outcomes Researchers
  • Advanced statistical programming skills in SAS to solve complex programming tasks.
  • Advanced knowledge of efficient programming with large databases
  • Knowledge of Health Claims databases or Electronic Medical Records databases such as Truven Marketscan data or CPRD Data
  • Knowledge of statistical and epidemiological methods
  • Knowledge of data visualization techniques is a plus
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal
  • Experience in communicating with all levels of personnel across various departments, in domestic and international environments
  • Good project management skills including experience in managing multiple tasks
  • Potential to mentor and lead other statistical programmers
  • Ability to work under pressure and without close supervision
  • Able to adapt to change
