To help us meet our ambitions and provide the best solutions to patients, UCB is currently seeking a talented individual as an Immunology Medical Outcomes Specialist (iMOS). The iMOS is a professional who serves as a key field-based scientific partner bringing clinical, economic, and real-world evidence acumen to help inform decision-makers. This professional will be responsible for executing key medical and HEOR strategies to enhance and positively impact patients living with chronic inflammatory diseases. This position will support our Immunology Patient Value Unit (PVU) in an assigned geography. Critical responsibilities included, but are not limited to:

 

 

  • Leads the execution of the Immunology Medical and RWE engagement strategy with external partners and decision-makers primarily in integrated delivery networks (IDNs), large medical groups, and national/regional health plans and Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs).
  • Demonstrates proficiency and effectiveness in delivering clinical and economic value propositions and engaging with key decision-maker stakeholders across varying settings of care
  • Cultivates relationships with key stakeholders including C-/D-suite decision-makers in large medical groups and pharmacy/medical directors at national/regional health plans and PBMs
  • Serves as an outcomes expert at key medical and scientific conferences, advisory boards, and internal meetings. 
  • Partners and supports the design and execution of field-based Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) collaborations 
  • Operates at the highest level of UCB compliance and professional standards.  Adherence to compliant behavior is an expectation at UCB and demonstrated by embracing ethical decision-making practices and guidelines in all aspects of our organization.  

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Doctorate degree (PharmD, MD, DO or PhD in a relevant field) required.  Will consider NP/PA with clinical experience in relevant therapeutic area (Rheum, GI, Derm).
  • Minimum of 2 years field medical experience in industry. Autoimmune disease or biologics experience preferred. 
  • Strong background/experience in HEOR and payer interactions.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in the US health ecosystem 
  • Ability to critically assess and analyze clinical and HEOR data gaps and provide relevant medical solutions 
  • Extensive (up to 75%) travel required, including overnights and some weekends.
  • Valid US Driver’s License and with no more than 3 moving violations in the past 2 years.
  • Must reside within the assigned territory
  • Must complete initial training and successfully pass all assessments within 90 days of hire
