To strengthen our UK and Ireland Market Access Group, we are looking to fill the position of: Market Access Solutions Lead – Immunology.


About the Role:

This is pivotal, head-office based role, whose accountability will be to;  


Lead Immunology NHS Market Access Strategy;

  • You will lead, develop and execute the NHS Market Access strategy utilizing your knowledge and experience of the NHS alongside payer and healthcare system insights to ensure patient can access UCBs immunology medicines within the NHS
  • To support this, you will develop appropriate projects, materials and initiatives to ensure field based colleagues in Immunology are supported to drive optimised access to UCBs immunology medicines within the NHS
  • You will be a key member of the immunology brand team, acting as the NHS and access expert along with the National Policy Manager, and also presenting to above country colleagues our immunology access strategy and progress with execution against this.


Identify access solutions focusing on creating collaborative opportunities to partner with the NHS;

  • Leading the development of access projects, materials and initiatives to allow for optimal positioning of our medicines on pathways.
  • leading the generation of innovative value-based agreements that would support the preferential positioning of our Immunology portfolio and ultimately improve patient care.
  • Consider the potential of early access strategies for pre-launch products and indications.
  • Working with field-based colleagues to develop strategies to remove local NHS barriers preventing patients gaining appropriate access to our immunology medicines
  • lead on the development of materials to support Advanced Budget Notifications (ABN) for pipeline compounds and indications.


About You

You should have/be:

  • Substantial experience of the UK healthcare environment.
  • The ability to plan at a business unit level of complexity.
  • Robust understanding of market access strategies and tactical execution.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and evidence of a network of payers and payr influencers
  • Exceptional knowledge of the NHS structures, processes & policies, funding flows, decision making networks, etc.
