  • Being a core member of the UCB Brand Teams, attend and participate in Brand Team meetings and planning session, taking the lead in the development of a Patient Group engagement strategy with mutually value adding projects and programmes – aligned with the neurology, immunology and bone brand plans – developed in partnership with patient groups.
  • Individually, in collaboration with the National Policy Manager, and through participation and leadership of external coalitions of patient groups, raise awareness of UCBs therapy areas to ensure they are prioritised to a greater and appropriate extent at policy level and within national NHS frameworks such that care for patients suffering neurological and immunological and bone conditions can be enhanced.
  • Leading the development and evolution of direct patient engagement activities and work with Brand Team colleagues to ensure insights and evidence generated from such activities are implemented into meaningful outputs that will drive progress against Brand Teams CSFs.
  • Developing connections with UCB Cares to ensure patient based feedback is integrated into Patient Group and direct patient related activities.
  • Ensuring internal coordination, implementation, and monitoring of all UCB (especially BII) patient advocacy group interactions.
  • Providing support and guidance to global R&D project teams when engaging with BII patient groups and help gain valuable patient involvement to help speed up the development of new treatments and therapies and improve existing ones to produce better health outcomes and likelihood of uptake.
  • Identifying opportunities to engage with PGs and patients through survey and research to gain deeper understanding of the needs of patients to develop evidence to advance change.
