To strengthen the Antibody Design Team within our Computer-Aided Drug Design (CADD) department, we are looking for a talented new team member to fill the position of: Principal Scientist, Antibody Design, based in our research facility in Slough, UK.

 

As a Principal Scientist, Antibody Design you will evolve and implement computational antibody design strategy and apply advanced computational approaches and data analytics to accelerate the delivery of high-quality novel antibody therapeutics.

You will contribute by

  • Developing, communicating and implementing computational antibody design strategy
  • Leading a small team working closely with antibody therapeutic project teams and applying CADD technologies to accelerate the delivery of high-quality novel antibody drugs
  • Defining and monitoring timelines across projects; presenting regularly on the progress, impact and delivery to multi-disciplinary teams
  • Introducing novel technologies and approaches to improve productivity and impact

 

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

  • A PhD (or equivalent) in molecular modelling of antibodies or a related field
  • Industrial experience in the field of computational antibody design with demonstrated contributions to antibody therapeutic projects
  • Understanding of modern antibody discovery processes and technologies
  • Expertise in structure-based and sequence-based molecular design methodologies applied to antibodies, antibody-antigen complexes and novel antibody formats
  • Scientific programming skills in Linux operating systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, and skilled in communicating science across a wide variety of disciplines
  • Understanding of modern antibody discovery processes and technologies
  • Expertise in structure-based and sequence-based molecular design methodologies applied to antibodies, antibody-antigen complexes and novel antibody formats
  • Scientific programming skills in Linux operating systems
