To strengthen our Systems & Information Team in Smyrna, Georgia, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of Data Analyst / Technical Writer Intern.  
 

For 2020, one of our teams’ areas of focus is increasing awareness of the capabilities of our commercial data and integration program; as well as driving adoption of our commercial data solution within our business units. To support this goal, we are seeking to improve the design of our data structures and data documentation for all our stakeholders.
 

We are looking for a goal-oriented Intern who is ready to dive into a fast-paced real world big-data environment and apply their technical and organizational skills as part of a team.
 

The Intern will assist in the following areas:
-    Schedule and interview business stakeholders
-    Analyze data usage and make recommendations to improve design
-    Conduct performance benchmarking and testing activities
-    Record business definitions

 

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills
Minimum Qualifications:

•    Current enrollment in a master’s degree program in at least one of the following areas: Communications, General Studies, Business, Health Professions, Marketing, Life Science and/or IT 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

•    Strong analytical skills
•    Data modeling/engineering knowledge
•    Strong coding skills in SQL, Python and/or R
•    Ability to prioritize work and manage tasks
•    Attention to detail
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills
•    Comfortable asking clarifying questions
•    Ability to work well as part of a small focused team
•    Previous experience working with pharmaceutical data preferred
