To strengthen our Talent Acquisition, Development & Learning Department, based in our HQ in Smyrna, Georgia, we are looking to fill the position of: Learning Experience Manager.

As a UCB 'curioneering' person and Learning Experience Manager  you like to work in an environment where you can:

  • Use your intellect to innovate in a team of Learning Experience, Learning Operations and IT experts
  • Share your curiosity for new technologies that can actively enable your instructional designs and content (text and image) to bring effective learning outcomes in many output forms
  • Use your practiced open and attentive communication skills to collaborate and create iterations of Learning Experiences together with the team

As a UCB 'curioneering' person and Learning Experience Manager  you will contribute by:

  • Translating high-level instructional models into detailed adult instructional designs and content following UCB standards and guidelines that address learning need assessments and secure the best learning outcomes
  • Leading adult instructional design projects from test phases through to pilot using agile project management techniques (project validation, deliverables, planning and coordinating); ensure correct handover to Learning Operations for scale-up and implementation; use data-led insights for continuous improvement projects
  • Act as a subject matter expert for instructional design and content development staying up-to-date with industry trends and the latest technology and sharing best practices with learning colleagues and the whole of UCB

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

Mimimum Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communication, Instructional or Graphic Design or equivalent in experience – knowledge of user experience (UX) a plus
  •  Passionate about leveraging technology and using your expertise in building/creating impactful adult learning instructional designs and developing content (SCORM files for LMS implementation, PowerPoint, Word templates…)
  • Proven ability to handle projects in a matrix organization building relationships to influence people and work well within the team and use exceptional time management skills managing complex projects simultaneously.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills to influence and explain a technological vision simply.
  • Experience with pharmaceutical sales training curriculum and material.
